Dark Souls Remastered

Releasing: 25th May 2018

Prepare to Die. Now with more red caps and moustaches. I kid (although they should let you create Mario). As the only entry out of sequence with the video above, this is the one that really caught the attention.

The original Dark Souls coming to modern consoles is great news for all and perhaps leaves the door open to poor the rest of the trilogy to Switch too.

Only time will tell. But we got some additional information from Bandai namco below for you to enjoy and the rest of the Nintendo Direct details down the page.

Dark Souls Remastered information

DARK SOULS: REMASTERED allows players to explore the twisted ancient land of Lordran in the first title of the critically acclaimed action role-playing series like never before. Experience the rich world of DARK SOULS in upscaled 4K resolution with 60FPS when playing on a PlayStation 4 Pro system, Xbox One X, and PC.  Also, 1080p resolution with 30FPS is available when playing the game on Nintendo Switch with its TV mode. From their first timid steps to absolute mastery, players will build their characters by strategically adapting to daunting foes, exploring haunting locations, and amassing a large collection of weapons, armour and magic spells to utilise for a truly unique playstyle.

Hidden in the world of DARK SOULS: REMASTERED are nine online covenants to uncover that will motivate your online interactions. Collaboration or confrontation, support or betrayal – which allegiance will you choose? Up to six players can join together online to help, or hurt, each other throughout their quest.

DARK SOULS: REMASTERED will be available on 25th May, 2018 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 system, Xbox One and PC.

Celeste looks like a challenging action platformer. With mid-air dashes and wall jumps all over the gaff. Looks promising to me.

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze for Switch

Nintendo Mini Direct January 2018 image 13

Releasing: 4th May 2018

Donkey Kong ports over from the Wii U to the Switch in Tropical Freeze. Funky Kong joins the Konga-line in this one too, making short work of spiky ground because apparently surf-boards are impervious to sharp objects. Seriously though, it’s good to see more Wii U games getting deserved attention.
