Starting the month off you can now play the latest UFC game. UFC 3 is revamping itself with some new motion tech and a GOAT mode, thats a greatest of all time career style mode. In the past the game hasn’t got everything right, but when it has it’s been highly entertaining to play.

Personally speaking I think there’s promise in this series and there is certainly popularity. So far reviews have been a bit mixed but there seems to be more positives than negatives which can only be a good thing for MMA fans out there.

By: Sony Interactive Entertainment/BluePoint Games

This is a classic, a game that I don’t care that they’ve had remastered (some gamers are not fans I know). It certainly deserves it, it’s so good and what BluePoint have done seems to be the perfect remaster.

Back in the PS2 days I remember being excited about this one following on from Ico. With a full restoration to PS4 standard, it’s currently looking like a must play for those who missed it originally. And a must play again for those who loved it!

Shadow of the Colossus Information

Armed with only your wits, a magical sword and a bow, venture out into expansive landscapes on the back of your trusty steed and seek out each Colossus. But be warned – while each giant has a specific weakness, finding and exploiting it will be far from simple. A thrilling mixture of exploration, platforming, puzzle-solving and action awaits…

By: Bandai Namco

After a number of games in January, Bandai Namco are back right away in February! This time we are fighting to save a kingdom based on The Seven Deadly Sins Manga. The characters and world seem very sympathetic to the anime origins of this title. Plus the action all looks like it could be very action packed.

Fans are likely to pick this up anyway, but it seems like it could be fun for newcomers too with plenty to enjoy.

Wow this series has been with us a long time now but always seems to deliver a really enjoyable experience. Up to the 9th release of Dynasty Warriors now it’s time to go more open in this version of the game. The war and action is taking place in an open sandbox style game now with the story split into chapters within it.

That amazing action combat is here too and it looks like it might be one of those games in a series that changes the formula enough to really feel fresh. One to check out gamers!

From the over the top action we go to a more realistic experience in this deep open-world RPG set in this medieval style world. This is one for gamers out there that want a challenge, with some difficult and strategic looking combat to take on. Plus, everything in the game has consequences.

Actions or even inactions and your choices during missions of this non-linear type story will play a huge part in your experience of this game. It all sounds a really deep experience, while it might have a more Niche audience than a more common RPG around at the moment, this looks really good.

Ahh Bayonetta, how I have missed you! The original game was one of my favourites back when it came out but then the Wii U got involved and I, like many others, missed the sequel. With the very popular Nintendo Switch in town though, there is no excuse to not play them now.

Bayonetta is a lot like Devil May Cry in many ways but has that sassy and sexy undertones to it. I mean, her dress is made out of her hair… technically she’s naked. It wouldn’t be so sexy if a guy did that out of his back hair though now would it? She gets away with it though and this is one awesome collection well worth playing.

Bayonetta 1 + 2 Collection information

February Video Games releases 2018 Bayonetta Image

Bayonetta is a butt-kicking, havoc-wreaking witch who wields sweet weapons like pistols, whips, hammers, flamethrowers, and poison bows. But it’s not just about brawn—it’s also about style. Bayonetta is deadly but sleek, with moves like Witch Time that slows down time itself, and the all-new Umbran Climax—a special magic attack that summons Infernal Demons to devastate enemies.

The Bayonetta™ 2 game also features an online and local wireless 2-player cooperative mode where players bet halos on their performance and work together to amplify their sass, cause destruction, and score some riches.

4Fe

Format(s): PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC
Release Date: February 16
By: EA/Zoink Games

I remember seeing Fe at EA Play and thinking that this could be something special. When I realised Zoink were behind it I was very interested indeed. After playing Stick it to the Man and awaiting on Flipping Death for some time, I was really pleased this was coming from such an inventive studio.

This adventure looks a far more ambitious title from them and there is a reason EA have picked this up. The concept and visuals look incredible and there is a lot of affection for 3D action platform style games right now. Coming to all of the formats too, it really looks like a game well worth picking up! I know i will be.

While Kojima has left the company (*sobs) we can still look forward to Metal Gear Survive. This takes the incredible MGSV game engine and creates something a bit different. You need to build defences and survive the onslaught from the creatures out to get you.

There is both solo play and co-op play in this one and it does look a really nice idea. There is the issue around the branding of this and Konami but will that matter if the game is great? We think it’s worth watching out for in February that’s for sure.

Metal Gear Survive Information

February Video Games releases 2018 Metal Gear Survive image

Metal Gear Survive is a spin-off of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain that integrates MGSV’s intense gameplay elements into a survival action format. Experience Metal Gear like you never have before with the tension of stealth gameplay, tactics of base defense, and the grueling reality of survival.

Set in a dangerous, ruined world filled with creatures and hazardous mist, your success relies on your ability to read the evolving situation and make strategic choices – placing defensive units, predicting enemy behavior and designing attack patterns.

Single Player takes you through the story of Metal Gear Survive while learning fundamental gameplay elements. These skills will be put to the test in online Co-op mode.

Progress and rewards obtained in both Single Player and Co-op mode carry over and apply to your character across both modes.

Fans of Sword Art Online will be very happy this month as the latest in the game series is arriving in the form of Fatal Bullet. The Game looks really impressive and takes a nice Sci-Fi approach this time with some rather recognisable weapons on show.

There are many references to the original novels in this one as you will be interacting with characters from them as you play. You’ll have plenty of enemies to fight too and there is a number of gameplay improvements and sci-fi inspired weaponry to collect. Looks a good one to our team here!

Last in the month we have a racing game Gravel. Now, all I do in racing games is crash… crash an awful lot. But for those who really enjoy them it’s one of the first big racers of the year. It’s making a move into realistic but fun, which I think means somewhere between simulator and arcade as you rally around the tracks.

Lots of cool locations are involved too with many races to take on. If you have been waiting for your first racer of 2018, this one could be well worth picking up!

Gravel information

February Video Games releases 2018 Gravel Image

Gravel will offer an experience unique to its kind: Milestone’s pedigree in simulation is valued here with physics grounded in reality, but fun will be the main focus, among wild drifting on the different terrains, crazy jumps and impossible manoeuvres.

The variety of powerful vehicles, from trophy trucks to rally legends, will offer many different approaches to the driving experience, and the wide offer of environments will have you strapped in for an unforgettable world tour.

Among deserts, jungles and snowy mountains you will have to shine in each and every discipline, whether it’s the wide open maps of the Cross Country or the narrow tracks of the Speed Cross. Become the ultimate Master or take part in some wild competition in the online game modes: Gravel will always have some fun ready for you!
